The Weekly Anime Discussion Post For October 21st, 2018

The fall season is fully underway in the anime realm and there’s a lot to like. The general consensus seems to be that it’s a pretty stacked season of strong shows, making it hard to weed out various series in order to have a manageable playlist for the season. For me, there’s a distinct lack of short-form shows this season so it feels pretty quiet overall and not all that engaging. Each season is definitely mixed when it comes to what we get for shorts but I’m feeling more disappointed now than I have in the past year.

This week has us digging into a couple of shows on the quick with reviews planned for the next few days with Aokana and Saga of Tanya the Evil from Funimation while from Aniplex we’ve got The Irregular at Magic High School to revisit. I’m also looking to dig into World’s End soon on that front before getting into a few more Sentai shows, such as the arrivals of…

We also did a massive amount of shipping this past week with almost 50lbs of manga and anime being sent out to reviewers. We’re always looking for new reviewers and the manga and light novel side is a big part of that. We’re also looking for simulcast reviewers more critically and you can check out the info on that here.
