The latest rankings have come in with what’s selling in Japan when it comes to manga and light novels. This week finally saw a new Hunter x Hunter release and it hit just shy of 500,000 in its opening frame, making for a very good week. There are a lot of popular titles releasing new books in this period with Haikyuu!! still showing strength as well as Boruto and Seraph of the End. Second-week sales for Berserk and Slime are also pretty good while One Piece closes in on crossing the 2 million mark.
On the light novel side we see the Slime property doing good with second-week sales while Classroom of the Elite does the same, though falls to third. We’re not likely to see anything just yet from the fall season making gains but hopefully we’ll see that crop up again since that’s largely the point of light novels getting anime adaptations.
