The Weekly Anime Discussion Post For October 14th, 2018

2 min read

The anime side of things this past week has been awkward as most season starts are as waiting for shows to arrive isn’t fun. This season feels even worse for me as I watch only short-form shows and only a couple have been picked up, which leaves me feeling very empty after a season of six or seven of them to watch. That means I’m just sticking to those and One Piece, as well as all the home video releases.

This week has us tackling a few new shows that we’ll be reviewing soon. One is the second part of Sakura Quest, which will be interesting as we never got the first half. We’re also looking to check out the Saga of Tanyal the Evil and a few others as well.

One show that came in last week we’re polishing up a bit to go live Tuesday with Galaxy Angel Z as that’s on Blu-ray next month.

This trippy show was interesting as it featured a different director each episode and works almost as an anthology series, which we’ll post about tomorrow:

We didn’t get a lot of new anime in this week but we did get a stack of manga from Kodansha Comics. And Boyle loves manga!
