With a planned December 21st, 2018 release, the first Aquaman trailer that arrived this summer helped to ease a lot of the concerns people were having with it, particularly after some less than positive views of Atlantis that were shown in the Justice League film but were said to not being done the same here. With the NYCC underway, Warner Bros. has now brought out a new extended five-minute trailer with a lot of familiar footage but also lots of new footage to sink our teeth into and raise our interest level over the next few months.
The film is directed by James Wan and will star Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Ludi Lin as Murk.
Plot concept: The reluctant ruler of Atlantis, caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt.
