2 min read

With the anime for the Bloom into You property getting underway today, Kadokawa has put together a welcome new spot for the manga side of it. The project is based on the manga by Nio Nakatani and the spot showcases some of the sixth volume (which is due out from Seven Seas Entertainment in March 2019) to raise interest in both the anime and the manga.

The TV anime series has Makoto Kato directing based on the scripts by Jukki Hanada. Hiroaki Gohda is handling the character designs with animation production at TROYCA.

The Japanese cast includes Yūki Takada as Yuu Koito, Minako Kotobuki as Touko Nanami, Ai Kayano as Sayaka Saeki, and Taichi Ichikawa as Seiji Maki.

The manga, which is available through Seven Seas Entertainment in English, began in 2015 and has five volumes out so far in Japan and four in North America.

Plot Concept: Yuu has always loved shoujo manga and awaits the day she gets a love confession that sends her heart aflutter with bubbles and blushes, and yet when a junior high classmate confesses his feelings to her…she feels nothing. Disappointed and confused, Yuu enters high school still unsure how to respond. That’s when Yuu sees the beautiful student council president Nanami turn down a suitor with such maturity that she’s inspired to ask her for help. But when the next person to confess to Yuu is Nanami herself, has her shoujo romance finally begun?
