The summer 2018 anime series Grand Blue Dreaming is having its home video releases in Japan handled by Avex Pictures and they’ve set a tighter run for it. With the first volume out last week we now have a look at the cover side of the second volume due out on October 26th, 2018. The twelve episode series is getting a four-volume run that began on September 28th, 2018. The separate DVD and Blu-ray formats are priced the same at 9,200 yen per volume. The reveal earlier this year of an anime adaptation of the Grand Blue Dreaming manga has had a number of reveals. That’s now picking up a bit more as the show, planned for a summer 2018 debut, now has a July 13th, 2018 premiere date scheduled for it. Additionally, a second promotional video was released for it that you can see below. Shinji Takamatsu is directing it and working on the scripts with Hideoki Kusama as the character designer. Zero-G is handling the animation production for it.
The Japanese cast includes Yuuma Uchida as Iori Kitahara, Ryouhei Kimura as Kouhei Imamura, Hiroki Yasumoto as Shinji Tokita, Katsuyuki Konishi as Ryuujirou Kotobuki, Chika Anzai as Chisa Kotegawa, Maaya Uchida as Nanaka Kotegawa, Toa Yukinari as Azusa Hamaoka, and Kana Asumi as Aina Yoshiwara.
The manga comes from Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka that began in 2014 and has ten volumes out as of next week in Japan. Kodansha Comics is bringing out the series in English.
