The season draws to a close with a single story that provides for something with a bit bigger to work with. It’s basically a magical girls kind of story with several of the characters involved as we flower fairies as the gimmick for it. They transform into tiny fairy form to deal with mischievous opponents that cause problems. It’s fun watching Noriko and Yuki get into action mode here and deal with their “evil” opponent while protecting the innocent. It plays out like a mini movie from start to finish in a good way, especially with the stills in the credits and a peek at another episode that won’t ever be made, but it’s also completely predictable through and through.

In Summary:
As a season finale, this isn’t an unexpected move with what it does here but it doesn’t exactly engage me all that much either. It’s a good self-contained installment that delivers cuteness and it does leave me hoping that a fourth season is in our future because these chibi and cute versions of the characters and their stories make me smile, especially when they do up sexy fanservice in chibi form. Until then, however, this was a welcome addition to the first two seasons.
