NHK revealed last October that an anime adaptation of Tsurune: Kazemai High School School’s Archery Club was coming in 2018 and some of the last details have arrived. That comes in the form of a premiere date as it’s now set for October 24th, 2018 on NHK. It’s directed by Takuya Yamamura based on the series composition by Michiko Yokote. Miku Kadowaki is on board to handle the character designs while Kyoto Animation is handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Ryota Suzuki as Ryōhei Yamanouchi
- Aoi Ichikawa as Seiya Takehaya
- Yūto Uemura as Minato Narumiya
- Shougo Yano as Nanao Kisaragi
- Kaito Ishikawa as Kaito Onogi
- Shintarō Asanuma as Masaki Takagawa
- Kensho Ono as Shū Fujimura
The property is based on the novel by Kotoko Ayano with artwork by Chinatsu Morimoto that came out in December 2016.

Plot Concept: The “archery youth story” novel follows Minato Narumiya. Minato played Japanese archery in middle school, but after a certain incident, he ran away from the sport. In high school, Minato meets new friends, and together as part of their school’s archery club they aim to win the prefectural tournament.
