‘Bloom Into You’ Anime Premiere Scheduled

A new yuri anime series is on tap for the fall 2018 season as the manga series Bloom into You received the green light back in April. We’ve had some casting and promotional material previously but now the site has had a refresh with a new key visual you can see below as well as confirming an October 5th, 2018 premiere for the series on most major Japanese networks. The project is based on the manga by Nio Nakatani and has Makoto Kato directing based on the scripts by Jukki Hanada. Hiroaki Gohda is handling the character designs with animation production at TROYCA.

The previously announced cast includes:

  • Yūki Takada as Yuu Koito
  • Minako Kotobuki as Touko Nanami
  • Ai Kayano as Sayaka Saeki
  • Taichi Ichikawa as Seiji Maki

The manga, which is available through Seven Seas Entertainment in English, began in 2015 and has five volumes out so far in Japan and four in North America.

Plot Concept: Yuu has always loved shoujo manga and awaits the day she gets a love confession that sends her heart aflutter with bubbles and blushes, and yet when a junior high classmate confesses his feelings to her…she feels nothing. Disappointed and confused, Yuu enters high school still unsure how to respond. That’s when Yuu sees the beautiful student council president Nanami turn down a suitor with such maturity that she’s inspired to ask her for help. But when the next person to confess to Yuu is Nanami herself, has her shoujo romance finally begun?
