In what’s probably one of the more shocking moments for fans that may not keep up on things, a new Slayers novel is coming – the first one in eighteen years. It was revealed by the Fantasia Bunko imprint that a sixteenth novel is now slated for an October 20th, 2018 debut in Japan. The project began serialization earlier this year in Dragon Age magazine and the compiled book continues the story from writer Hajime Kanzaka and artist Rui Araizumi.
Now, about some new anime….
Property Concept: Lina Inverse, a wandering sorceress and bandit-killer, joins forces with roving swordsman Gourry Gabriev in what’s supposed to be a quick union of convenience. Instead, an artifact Lina “liberated” from a gang of thieves turns out to be the key to the resurrection of the demon lord Shabranigdo. Urged on by the mysterious Red Priest Rezo, the pair has no choice but to fight the dark lord and his servants, accumulating new allies and enemies along the way.
