The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Working Buddies had a whole lot of fun the last time around in getting some time off and visiting Tapio’s home, which was a real shock to Kuehiko with how he lives and his family situation. This time around, it’s back to work and doing some temp work in the construction industry building some houses. This one is handled by three brothers that run the job site and they throw the pair right into the thick of things with doing plasterboard and more. Kuehiko’s certainly not one for physical labor, though he handles it well, and the brothers make for a lively job site to be sure. The job site also gets a visit from the homeowners and the panicky nature of the father but it plays well in the end with some sharp thinking that makes you grin.
In Summary:
Working Buddies has another cute episode and it’s one that’s enjoyable for the work that it does and the cast of characters involved. The brothers are amusing to watch in how they handle things here and the way that both Tapio and Kuehiko end up involved in saving the day. The sidebar involving straw is definitely amusing all on its own and the show essentially binds it all together well. It’s still one of those delightful little things that makes me week all the more enjoyable.
