What They Say
Black Label tries to staunch the rising panic in the city as Reika Azuma’s plans are set in motion. Caught between the Tobishiro crime family and Black Label, Syringe finds themselves backed into a corner – and face-to-face with Arashi. Arashi is as interested in D’s role in the outbreak as he is in D’s involvement in the terrorist bombing that brutally scarred Arashi’s childhood. But will the truth distract Arashi from the larger calamity at hand?!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
Syringe has initiated their endgame. Infect as many people as possible, destroy the Tobishiro crime family, and expose Black Label. Considering the entire city has been quarantined and Black Label is getting their asses handed to them, it seems Syringe’s plan is working.

The Tobishiro crime family and their subordinates have been pushed back into a single skyscraper, and it is quickly falling victim to outside forces. While Syringe slowly destroys the inner security of the building, the infected citizens follow, creating havoc and leaving death in their wake. But the real tragedy falls on the families of the Tobishiro crime syndicate. The families are innocent to the dirty deeds of their fathers, so their dastardly demise is tragic.

All this takes a back seat to the battle of attrition between Black Label and Syringe, specifically between Arashi and D. Arashi has it all under control until D shares the news that he was the one who set the explosives that killed Arashi’s parents. Can’t forget, the explosion nearly killed Arashi too. This news is enough to rattle Arashi’s cold demeanor and he starts making mistakes. Considering D has the high ground in their fight, the smallest mistake could spell Arashi’s demise.

Will Arashi pull himself together enough to defeat D? Will Black Label survive the onslaught by the Tobishiro family, Syringe, and the infected proliferating the city?

In Summary
The actions of the Tobishiro crime family and Syringe against innocent civilians really hammers home the importance of the job that Black Label performs across the city. No ordinary citizen in the city could survive the affronts of the Tobishiro family or the machinations of Syringe as they spread the Platinum Lily drug. At this point, its death by zombie or by gun. But despite all that, the revelation that D from Syringe has been the man behind the terrorist bombing that killed Arashi’s parents and his best friend has been enough to crack Arashi’s cold shell. It is nice to see some emotion out of Arashi, but this situation is the worst time for him to let his emotions suddenly rule him.

Without Mikoto’s calming presence, will Arashi be destined to defeat?
