It was all the way back in December 2016 that the Polar Bear in Love manga revealed that an anime adaptation and we’ve had four shorts so far spread out ahead of various theatrical releases in Japan. The official site has now brought forth a new key visual to the right that reveals two more characters that will be in it and that more of the shorts are coming. Ryohei Otani has joined the project to take on the role of the Killer Whale for it as well.
The original work is a short manga series with just four volumes released since it began in December 2014 from creator Koromo.
Yen Press has picked up the manga with the three volumes released so far.
Plot concept: The manga revolves around a polar bear who falls in love with an earless seal, and he wants nothing else except to protect him, even though the seal constantly thinks the bear will eat him.
