While we saw the home video release through NIS America way back in 2014, the anime feature film Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home is now getting some streaming availability. Cinedigm has now brought the film out through Amazon where you can rent it for 99 cents or you can purchase it outright for 30 cents. The film is available in its Japanese release with English subtitles only.
The feature was directed by Masahiro Ando based on a script by Mari Okada and animated by P.A. Works.
Plot concept: Ohana has grown accustomed to living in the hot springs inn her grandmother manages, Kissuisou. One day, the daughter of a manager for Kissuisou’s rival inn, Yuina, comes to Kissuisou for training to become a landlady herself. As Ohana is observing her training, she finds “a certain item” in the storeroom while cleaning.
