Funimation is wrapping up another of its spring 2018 dubs with the Hinamatsuri series but the promotion continues. We didn’t have any dub clips during the early part of its run, a key time to actually draw people in, but they have one now. The English cast includes:

  • Brina Palencia as Hina
  • Jarrod Greene as Yoshfiumi Nitta
  • Tabitha Ray as Hitomi Mishima
  • Ariel Graham as Mao
  • Tyler Walker as Baba Kashira
  • Kyle Phillips as Sabu
  • Bill Jenkins as Oyaji

The show was directed by Kei Oikawa based on the series composition by Keiichirou Ohchi. Kanetoshi Kamimoto served as the character designer and chief animation director with studio feel. producing the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Takako Tanaka as Hina, Yoshiki Nakajima as Yoshifumi Nitta, Rie Murakawa as Anzu, Kaede Hondo as Hitomi Mishima, Yoko Hikasa as Utako, Ari Ozawa as Mao, Tsuyoshi Koyama as Kiyoshi Baba, and Kengo Kawanishi as Sabu.

The work comes from the manga by Masao Ohtake that kicked off in 2010 and has thirteen volumes out.

Plot Concept: Nitta Yoshifumi, a young, intellectual yakuza, lived surrounded by his beloved pots in his turf in Ashigawa. But one day, a girl, Hina, arrives in a strange object, and uses her telekinetic powers to force Nitta to allow her to live with him, putting an end to his leisurely lifestyle. Hina tends to lose control of herself, wreaking havoc both at school and in Nitta’s organization. Though troubled, he finds himself taking care of her. What will become of this strange arrangement?
