Crunchyroll is handling the streaming of the anime adaptation of Hyakuren no Haō to Seiyaku no Valkyria, which is being localized as The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar, as a part of their summer 2018 lineup. To help try and draw people into it with one of the easiest methods is the streaming of the high-quality opening sequence to showcase the animation and designs. The show features the theme song “Bright Way” from Aya Uchida as well which makes it pretty catchy.
The series has Kousuke Kobayashi directing it based on the series composition by Natsuko Takahashi. Mariko Ito is on board as the character designer and co-chief animation director with Miyako Yatsu. ETM Squared is handling the animation production for it.
The Japanese cast includes Kōdai Sakai as Yuuto, Rie Suegara as Felicia, Arisa Date as Sigrun, Maki Kawase as Ingrid, Kanon Takao as Linnea, and Aya Uchida as Mitsuki.
Aya Uchida is doing double-duty here as she’ll be performing the opening theme song for the show while petit milady will handle the ending theme song, both of which will have titles revealed later.
The property comes from writer Seiichi Takayama and artist Yukisan which began in 2013 and has fifteen volumes out as of spring 2018 through Hobby Japan. A manga from Chany is available in Japan that has three volumes out. J-Novel Club has the first four chapters on their site for members while non-members can check out the first part, which is how they usually roll.
Plot Concept: Some urban legends are best left untested! Yuuto Suoh gets more than he bargained for when he joins his childhood friend Mitsuki Shimoya in testing out an urban legend. When he uses his phone to take a picture of himself with the local shrine’s divine mirror, he is whisked off into another world – one heavily steeped in the lore of the old Norse myths. Using his knowledge gained from school and from his solar-powered smartphone, he has the chance to bring the Wolf Clan, the same people who cared for him, to prominence, all while earning the adoration of a group of magic-wielding warrior maidens known as the Einherjar.
