Final ‘Fairy Tail’ Anime Series Reveals Key Visual

2 min read

It’s been a few months since original creator Hiro Mashima confirmed that the final season of the Fairy Tail anime is being looked at for a fall 2018 debut. The official site has now updated to confirm that with an October 2018 bow planned for it on TV Tokyo and elsewhere when it lands. The site also delivered a new key visual for it that gives us a good shot of Natsu that feels pretty appropriate that you can see below.

What we didn’t have was information on staff or cast for it, which has now come out through the official site. It looks like the main staff are coming back with Shinji Ishihira directing it with Masashi Sogo working on the series composition. Shinji Takeuchi and Toshihiko Sano are handling the character designs with A-1 Pictures and Bridge managing the animation production.

The returning cast includes:

  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu
  • Aya Hirano as Lucy
  • Rie Kugimiya as Happy
  • Yūichi Nakamura as Gray
  • Sayaka Ohara as Erza

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Property concept: Cute girl wizard Lucy wants to join the Fairy Tail, a club for the most powerful wizards. But instead, her ambitions land her in the clutches of a gang of unsavory pirates led by a devious magician. Her only hope is Natsu, a strange boy she happens to meet on her travels. Natsu’s not your typical hero – he gets motion sickness, eats like a pig, and his best friend is a talking cat. With friends like this, is Lucy better off with her enemies?
