Viewster Adds ‘Bokurano Ours’ Anime On Amazon Streaming Channel

Acquired in the fall of 2014, Discotek Media has now brought the anime series Bokurano Ours over to the Viewster service itself after recently getting a run through its Amazon Video app. Since it’s coming via Discotek, the streaming rights are for the US and Canada only. The full series in its original Japanese with English subtitles and is available here (or you can just buy the DVD here or even dig into the manga).

The show is based on the manga of the same name by Mohiro Kitoh and originally ran in 2007 for twenty-four episodes along with a recap episode. The series was directed by Hiroyuki Morita and animated by Gonzo. The manga has been getting a release in North America through Viz Media who has the 11th and final volume released on September 16th, 2014. The manga ran from 2003 to 2009 in the seinen magazine Ikki.

Plot concept: During a summer camp, 15 children, 8 males and 7 females, find a grotto by the sea. Deep within they discover working computers and some electronic equipment, and later the owner, a man called Kokopelli. Kokopelli claimed to be a programmer working on a brand new game, in which a large robot has to defend the Earth against alien invasions. He persuades the children to test the game and sign a contract. All but one of them sign, barely a moment later they mysteriously awaken on the shore believing what happened was just a dream.
