The spring 2018 anime series Last Period is getting its home video releases handled by NBC Universal Japan and they’ve set a good plan for it. With the first volume out recently we’re now closing in on the second on July 27th, 2018 and have a look at the packaging and cover artwork for it. The twelve episode series is getting a three-volume Blu-ray release that began on June 27th, 2018. They’re priced at 12,000 yen each with four episodes per volume.
The series was directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki based on the series composition by Hideki Shirane. With original designs by whoopin, Mika Takahashi handled the adaptation of the designs and served as the chief animation director with JC Staff working on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Haru, Yukari Tamura as Choco, Mika Kikuchi as Liza, Ayumu Murase as Gajeru, Ai Kakuma as Erika, M.A.O as Campanella, Yamato Kinjo as Gilled, Reina Ueda as Noin, Ai Kayano as Iona, Sayaka Harada as Mizaru, Akari Kitō as Kikazaru, Ayumu Mano as Iwazaru, and Shiori Izawa as Guru.

Plot Concept: “Period” is how magic users called who beat “Spiral”—monsters that were summoned from isolation. Due to the rise of these beings, 14-year-old apprentice Period Haru, who is a part of the Eighth Arc-end Division, is called to break the cycle and cast himself into the endless battle. However, a mysterious thievery occurred and sank the division into bankruptcy, forcing Haru and his other comrades have to leave their headquarters. To rebuild a branch, they have to overcome quest after quest.
