Originally serialized in Comic Kairakuten Beast from the April 2018 installment, Boob Energy Blast is a twenty page story from creator Yuuki Shin, who has just two one-panel pinup pages on the service so far. So this marks my first look at them with a story based piece and in a black and white format since the pinup pages were pretty nicely done color pieces, which have their own flair and flow. Shin’s work here is pretty great overall even if I’m not a huge fan of the big breasts henati manga genre but they bring a lot of good detail to the character designs, a very good flow to the panel layout to keep it exciting, and even with a paper thin plot they drive home just enough character material to invest in it for twenty pages.
The premise focuses on Taku, a young man who didn’t want to go looking for a job when he finished up college so he ended up in grad school instead. Working late on getting some report work done, his girlfriend Sakura comes to visit him in the small closed off area of the school that he’s in. It’s here that he’s being kind of silly in looking at pictures of breasts on his phone and then angling it so that it looks like his phone is an X-ray machine over her chest. Which, naturally, gets him a talking to because of how she feels about that with her jealousy issues combined with a problematic sense of self worth over her looks because she is pretty well stacked. Add in that he’s been so busy that they haven’t gotten busy and it all turns into an opportunity for some intense sexual shenanigans.
The shenanigans themselves work a familiar run of material as it gets underway, though it has some nice little added quirks. Sakura’s really uncertain about her looks so she’s questioning in the right way about what he does with her, which gets him to reaffirm his own love of her as they get more and more into it. But he’s also working the ways to excite her more, which leads to some great results, particularly when he starts nibbling on her ear. It’s not a move I’ve seen too often in hentai manga but it’s a nice moment here that shows how close they are that he knows this and that it drives her as nuts as it does. The positions themselves are all fairly straightforward but the appeal of it is through the character designs and the energy that comes from the scene as the two haven’t engaged in this in a while, making for a whole lot of intensity.
In Summary
Yuuki Shin’s first story work on Fakku is a pretty good one to open with as it delivers some light character material to tie it all together and engages in a lot of very fun dirty material. It’s fairly straightforward and conventional for most of it but it’s very well-executed with the designs and layouts and it adds in a couple of nice quirks that gives it a little more flavor. The end result is an artist worth keeping an eye out for, especially if they’re going to work with a range of body types and not just one. Definitely a good introductory piece.
