The summer 2018 anime series Middle Management Chronicle Tonegawa that’s based on the manga by Tensei Hagiwara, Tomohiro Hashimoto, and Tomoki Miyoshi lands today in Japan and Crunchyroll has picked up the streaming rights to it. Set for a two-cour run of twenty-four episodes, the series availability is strong as it’s open to viewers worldwide outside of Asia. Keiichiro Kawaguchi is directing it based on the series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota. Haruhito Takada is on board as the character designer and chief animation director.

The Japanese cast includes Toshiyuki Morikawa as Yukio Tonegawa, Masato Hagiwara as Kaiji Itō, Wataru Hatano as Kenji Yamazaki, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Jirō Saemonsaburō, Taku Yashiro as Ebitani, Kōtarō Nishiyama as Toshimasa Kawasaki, Daiki Hamano as Nakata, Takuya Eguchi as Kōji Dōshita, Kengo Kawanishi as Junichi Hagio, Takaya Aoyagi as Kikuchi, Chiharu Sawashiro as Nagata, Rena Maeda as Saeko Nishiguchi, Masatane Tsukayama as Kazuta Hyōdō, Rikiya Koyama as Gonta, Akira Ishida as Keiichi Ogino, Takuma Terashima as Ataru Yaotome, Atsushi Miyauchi as Yoshihiro Kurosaki, Kenjirou Tsuda as Yuuji Endou, Daisuke Namikawa as Seiya Ichijou, Akio Ootsuka as Masayan, and Jai Kabiria as the narrator.

Gesu no Kiwami Otome performed opening theme song “Sassoku to Hashiru Tonegawa-kun.”

The property has three volumes out and is something that will definitely appeal to an underserved part of the overall anime market.
