Bandai Visual is going back a bit with a series Blu-ray release with the Yomigaeru Sora: Rescue Wings from 2006 getting the nod. The set is scheduled for a November 22nd, 2018 release priced at 22,800 yen. Extras for the set includes a new commemoration event video that’s being recorded on July 14th, 2018 as well as a staff commentary. A booklet, original soundtrack, and theme song CD will also be included.
The thirteen episode series was part of the winter 2006 season and was directed by Katsushi Sakurabi based on the series composition by Fumihiko Takayama. Tetsuya Takeuchi handled the character designs with animation production handled by J.C. Staff.
The Japanese cast includes Issei Miyazaki as Kazuhiro Uchida, Mamiko Noto as Megumi Hasegawa, Mitsuaki Hoshino as Ryuunosuke Murakami, and Unshō Ishizuka as Shuujirou Hongou.

Plot Concept: Kazuhiro Uchida is transferred to a rescue center located in a small town while training to become a fighter pilot. Initially, Kazuhiro thinks negatively about his new occupation, due to the difficult missions and the harsh discipline he receives from his seniors. However, over the course of his training, he begins to accept the job for what it is and becomes a true member of the rescue force.
