Madman Schedules ‘Seven Mortal Sins’ Anime Release

Madman Entertainment has revealed that they’ll be handling the Australian home video release of Seven Mortal Sins. The show got a release last month from Funimation in North America and Madman is scheduling it for an October 3rd, 2018 Australian release. It’s being done as separate DVD and Blu-ray editions priced at $59.95 and $69.95 respectively. Extras for the bilingual release include the promos, commercials, and the clean opening and closing sequences.

The fanservice and action series has Kinji Yoshimoto of Queen’s Blade as the director based on the script by Masashi Suzuki. Sachiko Yasuda worked o the character designs created originally be NiO and it was animated at TNK x Artland.

The Japanese cast includes Eri Kitamura as Sin of Pride, Lucifer, Akane Fujita as Leviathan, Arisa Sakuraba as Satan, Ai Kakumuma as Sloth, Yoko Hikasa as Greed, Azusa Tadokoro as Astaroth, Shizuka Itou as Belial and Megumi Toda as Maria Totsuka.

The English dub was directed by Dave Trosko with a cast that includes Nicole Endicott as Lucifer, Brittany Lauda as Leviathan, Elizabeth Maxwell as Belial, Madeleine Morris as Maria, Dawn M. Bennett as Satan, Arielle O’Neal as Beelzebub, Annabel Thorne as Mammon, Ella Davis as Belphegor, and Morgan Garrett as Asmodeus.

Mia REGINA will be performing the opening song “My Sweet Maiden” as well as the ending theme song “Welcome to our diabolic paradise” for the show.

Plot concept: Because she committed the sin of pride against God, the Great Angel Lucifer was cast into Hell and became a Fallen Angel. Also at the lowest level of Hell, the hierarchy of demons have sealed away Lucifer’s powers. Lucifer had lost everything, but along with the Demon King of Envy, Leviathan, that admires Lucifer and a high school girl she met on Earth named Totsuka Maria, she becomes the Demon King of Pride Lucifer and begins her journey to revenge on the Seven Demon Kings of Hell. A book of Revelations with the “Seven Deadly Sins” portrayed by beautiful Demon Kings is about to begin.
