The fall 2017 Japanese and Chinese co-production of Robomasters has its home video release plans set in Japan with Happinet handling distribution. The series is being produced as a two-disc single box set collection on Blu-ray that will arrive on August 2nd, 2018 priced at 12,824 yen and now the project has an extended promo for it. It clocks in at nearly five minutes with the theme song for it used in its full version form and Japanese subtitles so you can sing along. While no extras are listed at the moment, it looks like it’s getting a multilingual release as in addition to the Japanese dub track there will be the Mandarin dub with Simplified Chinese subtitles included.
The show was directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto based on the series composition by Kenichi Yamashita. Rei Aoi worked the character designs for it with animation production being handled by Dandelion Animation Studio.
The Japanese cast includes Daiki Yamashita as Tantan, Yuichiro Umehara as Tei, Lynn as Shō, Rumi Ookubo as Ai Xiao, Fukushi Ochiai as Jun Wang, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Mō, Ruriko Aoki as Katrina, Subaru Kimura as Lee, and Daiki Hamano as Raowan.
The opening theme is performed by un:c with “super nova” while Saori Fukuyama is performing the ending theme song “Higher Maker.”
Plot Concept: The series will depict college students as they prepare and participate in a RoboMasters tournament, and will depict the tournaments in CG.
