“Chi Is Worried Over”
What They Say:
Chi is a sweet playful kitten, always full of energy. She gets milk from Yohei, and is relaxing at home, nice and full. As she searches around the house for something exciting, she comes across Yohei walking with a handful of rubber balls. The balls bounce everywhere as he drops them, and Yohei and Chi can’t get more excited. The day ends with Chi and the family making a great memory together.

The fun that we get with Chi and Come-Come was tempered with more serious material the last time around in seeing more of his past that has him being a street kitten. With the rain having passed now, he’s helping Chi find her way back home and that’s its own magical journey. One filled with fried chicken! The problem with discovered chicken is that you have no idea where it came from and Come-Come realizes it has a bad smell about it but is unable to stop Chi from eating it. Blackie’s arrival isn’t able to help in this regard but he can at least help her get home but not with how she’s starting to feel sick. The chicken didn’t agree with her and you really feel for her as she tries to cough it up so she can get better, which freaks everyone in the house out.
In Summary:
Having mom and day trying to figure out what’s going on is a nice addition to the episode while Chi struggles through the pain and other feelings from eating the bad chicken. It’s a hugely instructive lesson for her in sniffing food and making sure it’s safe before eating since she’s been so used to home and all of its safe offerings. Watching Chi going through the pain and then the dreamlike state is definitely nicely done and it’s easy to sympathize with her in a big way as she deals with it.
