‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ Animated Feature Reveals Expanded Trailer

1 min read

With an intriguing but unclear (to casual viewers) trailer out last December for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sony Pictures has now brought out a new nearly three-minute-long trailer for the film that’s set to land later this year. The film is scheduled for a December 14th, 2018 release and will be coming at a time when Marvel doesn’t have anything out themselves since Ant-Man and the Wasp in July, so the only superhero competition will really be the Aquaman movie. This could serve as some ideal seasonal counterprogramming.

Directed by Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey, it comes from a screenplay by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The cast for it includes Shameik Moore as Miles Morales / Spider-Man, Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali as Aaron Davis / Prowler, and Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davi.

Plot Concept: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
