“Fish and a Kiss”

What They Say:
The protagonist of the “lucky pervert” harem manga is a girl?! Natsuno Hanabi is returning to her home in the countryside for the first time in six years to attend high school. She was expecting to live in the luxurious Tachibana Manor… but due to an error, she ends up in the run-down apartment building Tachibana House. On her very first day there, she encounters a mysterious naked girl, witnesses an older girl in an embarrassing moment, and even ends up face-to-face with an embarrassing view of her close friend from childhood. And… she doesn’t see any of this as “lucky” at all, okay?! less

The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
With a mix of fun and sweet material the last time around with Konomi and her birthday, this episode has Iori revealing that she thinks she may be in love with Natsuno. That naturally sets off Konomi and ramps up her interest in trying to lay claim to Natsuno so that she doesn’t lose. And that means going to others for help on understanding love, which lets Mitsuo shine in a hilarious way. Of course, while she’s doing that we get Iori making a bold play for Natsuno which makes her uncomfortable but plays to some amusing moments. Seeing how Konomi and Iori approach winning over Natsuno from different directions makes for some good humor.

In Summary:
There’s a lot of mild pervy material here in this episode and it’s definitely the kind of silliness I expected a bit earlier in the show that it didn’t quite deliver. It’s amusing watching Konomi get her education and then trying to put it into effect while Iori just goes blunt and forward. Both of them miss the mark for various reasons and the supporting cast is fun to watch in how they handle it all, making for some enjoyable stuff within the three minutes that the show runs – which is its saving grace.
