Kadokawa Schedules ‘Kimi no Koe o Todoketai’ Anime DVD/BD Releases

The 2017 anime feature film Kimi no Koe o Todoketai had its home video release plans set recently after debuting last August. The film is scheduled through Kadokawa for a May 25th, 20187 release in three editions and as the release is just about to hit we’ve got a look at the cover/packaging designs for them. The DVD and Blu-ray are regular editions priced at 4,800 yen and 5,800 yen respectively and there’s a limited edition Blu-ray priced at 8,800 yen. The limited edition comes with a specially drawn box, a guidebook, and a bonus disc with the extras that include a radio drama, a documentary, special report, promos, and trailers. An audio commentary from the cast is included as well.

The project is in conjunction with Touhoku Shinsha with Naoyuki Itou slated as the director working from the script by Manabu Ishikawa. Toshinao Aoki is handling the character designs for it.

The Japanese cast includes Momone Iwabuchi as Shizuku Dobashi, Yuki Tanaka as Kaede Tatsunokuchi, Misako Iino as Yū Hamasuka, Mina Katahira as Nagisa Yukiai, Mitsuho Kambe as Ayame Nakahara, Hitomi Suzuki as Otoha Biwakōji, and Suzuko Mimori as Shion Yazawa.

Plot Concept: The story depicts the worries, conflicts, and dreams of a high school girl in Shōnan, a bayside area of Kanagawa Prefecture south of Tokyo. Nagisa, a girl who is a little impatient because she cannot find her future calling, wanders into a mini FM radio station that has been disused for several years. On impulse, she tries to become a DJ, and her broadcasted words by chance unexpectedly reach people.
