Having really enjoyed Ant-Man when it came out and putting it in a good slot in our overall MCU ranking list, the upcoming summer release of the Ant-Man and the Wasp film is definitely high on my list. Even more so now after Avengers: Infinity War with its necessary serious tone as this looks to provide some humor and fun that takes place before the carnage that’s to come. With that in mind, Marvel has put together a new second trailer for it but also a quick bit with several actors from Infinity War wondering why they weren’t in that film…
The film is scheduled for a July 6th, 2018 release and currently has Paul Rudd set to star alongside Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Walter Goggins, Randall Park and Michael Douglas. Peyton Reed is returning to direct.
Plot Concept: In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
