The promotion for the upcoming Han Solo movie is moving right along and depending on how receptive you are to it you’ll find a lot to like here. The new 2 1/2 minute featurette shows off a lot of new footage as it has several of the actors talking about what they’re enjoying about the project and the overall expansion of the character here. Having been a fan of expanding the character since I read those old novels such as Han Solo at Stars End way, way, back in the day, I’m keen on seeing what this introduces and what it carries over from other films and animated projects to give the film universe an even more cohesive feel.
Directed by Chris Miller, Phil Lord, and Ron Howard, the film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson with a planned May 25th, 2018 release.
Plot Concept: This new film depicts Han in his formative years as a scoundrel on the rise in the galaxy’s underworld — years before the events involving Han, Leia, and Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back and his rise to Rebel hero in Return of the Jedi.
