The latest rankings have come in from Japan with what’s selling when it comes to manga and light novels. This week has a full week’s worth of sales for Attack on Titan with its latest volume out and that hits the 700,000 mark pretty quickly and easily. There’s a good bit of space between it and the second place Dungeon Meshi but we’re loving that it’s getting these kinds of sales. We also get good additional numbers for a lot of other books this week within the top ten while Love Phantom and Koi to Uso have good showings.
On the light novel side, the latest Mahouka novel hits a hugely impressive 103,000 unit debut with its latest volume, whcih easily dwarfs second place Strike the Blood Append at what would normally be a solid 20,000. One Piece and its new novel series adds another 11,000 this week as well. We’re not seeing any movement from any spring series yet but it’s still pretty earlier for that to happen as this past week had the last of the new shows coming out.
