The mobile game Last Period: Owarinaki Rasen no Monogatari got the nod last month that it’ll have an anime adaptation landing in the spring 2018 season on April 11th. To get some excitement out there as it hasn’t had a lot of promotion, the second promotional video has landed as it clocks in at 95-seconds and highlights the ending theme song. The series is directed by Yoshiaki Iwasaki based on the series composition by Hideki Shirane. With original designs by whoopin, Mika Takahashi handled the adaptation of the designs and served as the chief animation director with JC Staff working on the animation production.

Plot Concept: “Period” is how magic users called who beat “Spiral”—monsters that were summoned from isolation. Due to the rise of these beings, 14-year-old apprentice Period Haru, who is a part of the Eighth Arc-end Division, is called to break the cycle and cast himself into the endless battle. However, a mysterious thievery occurred and sank the division into bankruptcy, forcing Haru and his other comrades have to leave their headquarters. To rebuild a branch, they have to overcome quest after quest.
