The fall 2017 anime series Sengoku Night Blood is having its home video releases handled by Marvelous and they’ve set a familiar and standard plan for it. With it about a month until the fifth volume arrives, we now have a look at that one plus the sixth and final volume due out in May. The twelve episode series is getting a six-volume release that began on December 20th, 2017. The DVDs are priced at 5,800 yen and the Blu-ray’s at 6,800 yen. Check the full schedule below.
Katsuya Kikuchi directed it based on the series composition by Yuuko Kakihara. Sai Komatsubara and Suzuna Okuyama handled the character designs while TYPHOON GRAPHICS worked on the anime production. The main cast from the game includes Toshiyuki Morikawa as Nobunaga Oka, Natsuki Hanae as Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Kousuke Toriumi as Kenshin Uesugi, Katsuyuki Konishi Shingek Takeda, Daiki Yamashita as Yukimura Sanada, and Yuuichirou Umehara as Masamune Date.
Plot Concept: Set in the flourish world of Jinga that was formerly a prosperous and peaceful realm, the female protagonist is deemed to be the key to bring back order and to rule this world. Chaos started when people, specifically soldiers, who has special powers like turning into a vampire and a manwolf, called the Getsugazoku, fight for their land. These soldiers of different species would put their life on the line and fight as they follow their own thoughts and ideals. Until one day, she was called by a mysterious lady named “Hime Miko” due to the protagonist’s blood bearing a mysterious power to give strength, healing, and to awake Jingazoku’s real form. This is a story of love and war that she must not miss in order to rule the world.
