TC Entertainment is working some of its past material for a new re-release with the Super Jetter series. This set brings out twenty-six episodes of the fifty-two episode series that were done in color for overseas distribution which were produced from an HD negative. The set is planned for a May 25th, 2018 debut where it’ll be priced at 9,800 yen. Extras include the clean opening and closing sequences.
Originally airing in 1965, it was directed by Haruyuki Kawajima with character designs by Fumio Hisamatsu. TCJ Animation handled the production.
The Japanese cast includes Kazuo Kumakura as Chief Saigou, Kei Taguchi as Jaguar, Minori Matsushima as Mizushima Kaoru, Osamu Ichikawa as Jetter, and Tadashi Nakamura as Spider.
Plot Concept: A time patroller from the 30th century goes back to the 20th century to stop a meteor from destroying the world.
