Scheduled for an April 12th, 2018 debut, the original series called Hisone to Maso-tan is getting some new promotion to entice people into adding it to their schedule. The latest piece is a really nicely done two-minute promotional video that gives us a greater feeling for the animation, a style I personally really like, and more of the theme song.

The project comes from a concept by Shinji Higuchi, who is listed as the executive director for it, with Mari Okada and done up at studio Bones. Hiroshi Kobayashi is directing it with Okada handling the series composition. Yoshiyuki Itou is handling adapting Toshinao Aoki’s designs.

The Japanese cast includes Misaki Kuno as Hisone Amakasu, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Nao Kaizaki, Maki Kawase as El Hoshino, Satomi Arai as Liliko Kinutsugai, Kaori Nazuka as Mayumi Hitomi, Romi Park as Sada Hinomoto, Yuuki Kaji as Haruto Okonogi, Yukitoshi Tokumoto as Yutaka Zaito, Rie Kugimiya as Remi Kakiyasu, Junichi Suwabe as Hiroki Ikushima, and Jouji Nakata as Hiroshi Sosoda.

The opening theme song “Shōjo wa Ano Sora wo Wataru” is being performed by Riko Fukutomo while the unit “D-Pai,”, which is made up of Misaki Kuno, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Maki Kawase, Satomi Arai, and Kaori Nazuka, will handle the ending theme song “Le temps de la rentrée ~Koi no Ieji (Shingakki)~” for the show.

Plot Concept: Straightforward and innocent Hisone Amakasu is a rookie self-defense official. She was struggling with the fact that she sometimes hurts people unintentionally by her innocent words and decided to join in Air Self-Defence, hoping to maintain a certain distance from people. This decision led her to a fateful encounter which profoundly changes her life.

It was the dragon hidden in the base and it chose Hisone as his pilot. When it soared into the sky with Hisone, her fate as a dragon pilot was decided. It is said that dragons have a key to the future of the world…
