While the fine folks at Hanabee previously brought out the Beyond the Boundary TV series back in 2015, they never really mentioned that they were going to dig into the film as well that we saw get release elsewhere last year. That’s now changed as they’ve got it solicited for an April 12th, 2018 release for Australian fans. The release is priced at $34.9 for either the DVD or Blu-ray and will be bilingual in nature. Extras include the Japanese Trailer Japanese Promos, “Future Star” Dance Music, and the Clean Closing Animation.

Check out our review of the North American collector’s edition release of the TV series and our review of this feature.

The light novel and anime project began in 2012 with three light novels and a twelve episode TV series that had two OVAs produced which Sentai Filmworks released. Animatsu has the rights to the two films which came out in March and April 2015 as produced by Kyoto Animation.

Plot concept: They should never have met. They shouldn’t even exist. But when they come together, the entire world will change. The last surviving member of her clan, Mirai Kuriyama is cursed with the terrifying ability to control and manipulate blood, a power so heretical that she is shunned even by those with the ability to understand her “gift”. Akihito Kanbara is only half human, but while the monstrous other half of his lineage seems to have doomed him to a life alone, it has also given him near invulnerability in the form of rapid healing. Alone, their futures seem bleak, but when a chance encounter brings them together, it becomes clear that they share more than just an unexpected bond. Together they share a destiny and a mission that only the two of them together may be strong enough to survive. Beyond the world that we know, in a realm where nightmares are real and legends walk, their future awaits BEYOND THE BOUNDARY
