Kiznaiver German Volume 1

German distributor Peppermint Anime is gearing up for their release of Kiznaiver and they’ve set a fairly standard plan for a property like this. The show is getting a two-volume release with the first volume set for release on March 30th, 2018 on Blu-ray while the second lands on May 25th, 2018. Ahead of the first release, we now have the second dub clip that gives us a taste of how the German cast will be handling these roles.

Check out our review of the complete series.

The series was directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi based on the scripts and series composition from Mari Okada. The original character designs come from Shirow Miwa with Mai Yoneyama handling the adaptations.

The Studio Trigger series cast includes Yuki Kaji as Katsuhira Agata, Hibiku Yamamura as Noriko Sonozaki, Yuka Terasaki as Chidori Takashiro, Tomoaki Maeno as Hajime Tenga, Misaki Kuno as Nico Niyama, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Tsuguhito Yuta, Rina Satou as Honoka Maki and Kōtarō Nishiyama as Yoshiharu Hisomu.

Plot concept: The anime’s setting is a fictional Japanese city named Sugomori City. One day, Noriko Sonosaki tells her classmate Katsuhira Agata, “You have been selected to be a Kiznaiver.” The Kizuna System, which allows Katsuhira to share his wounds, connects him to the classmates whose lives and personalities completely differ from his. The Kizuna System is an incomplete system for the implementation of world peace that connects people through wounds. All those who are connected to this system are called Kiznaivers. When one Kiznaiver is wounded, the system divides and transmits the wound among the other Kiznaivers. Sugomori City is built on reclaimed land. But as the years go by, the city’s population is decreasing. The story is set in this town where Katsuhira and the others live.
