With the Dragon Ball Super series wrapping up this coming weekend (and leaving us hopeful that a second series will be called Dragon Ball Super Duper), Toei Animation is focusing on the late 2018 release of the first feature film under the title. Planned for a global release on December 14th, 2018, the film is directed by Tatsuya Nagamine based on the screenplay by Akira Toriyama, who also worked on the character designs.
The cast from the TV series includes Masako Nozawa as Son Goku, Son Gohan and Son Goten, Ryo Horikawa as Vegeta, Aya Hisakawa as Bulma, Takeshi Kusao as Trunks, Mayumi Tanaka as Krillin, Masaharu Satou as Kame-Sen’nin, Toshio Furukawa as Piccolo, Naoko Watanabe as Chi-Chi, Yuko Minaguchi as Videl, Unshou Ishizuka as Mr. Satan, Kôzô Shioya as Majin Buu, Kouichi Yamadera as God of Destruction Beerus and Masakazu Morita as Whis.
Property Concept: With Majin Buu defeated, Goku has taken a completely new role as a…radish farmer?! With Earth at peace, our heroes have settled into normal lives. But they can’t get too comfortable. Far away, a powerful god awakens to a prophecy revealing his demise at the hands of a formidable being. When his search for the Saiyan God brings him to Earth, can Goku and his friends take on their strongest foe yet?
