The winter 2018 anime series Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san, aka Skilled Teaser Takagi-san, is moving right along but TOHO is doing more promotion for it, which we always enjoy. The latest has them streaming the latest ending sequence which shows off the style and feeling of the show pretty well as Rie Takahashi tackles another variation of the song. With it being a clean piece as well is definitely fun.
Hiroaki Akagi is on board to direct based on the series composition by Michiko Yokote. Aya Takano is handling the character designs with Takuji Mogi serving as the chief animation director with Natsuko Kondou at Shin-Ei Animation. The manga currently runs in Gessan magazine after moving there from Gessan Mini where it kicked off back in 2012. There are five volumes out so far with the sixth due out next month.
The Japanese cast includes Rie Takahashi as Takagi-san, Yuki Kaji as Nishikata, Rie Takahashi as Takagi-san, Konomi Kohara as Mina, M.A.O as Yukari, Yui Ogura as Sanae, Yūma Uchida as Nakai, Kotori Koiwai as Mano, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Takao, Fukushi Ochiai as Kimura, and Hinata Tadokoro as Tanabe-sensei.
Plot Concept: “If you blush, you lose.”
Living by this principle, the middle schooler Nishikata gets constantly made fun of by his seat neighbor Takagi-san. With his pride shattered to pieces, he vows to turn the tables and get back at her some day. And so, he attempts to tease her day after day, only to find himself victim to Takagi-san’s ridicule again sooner than later. Will he be able to make Takagi-san blush from embarrassment even once in the end?
