Avex Pictures is bringing the original Mushishi anime series back into print with the 2013 box set coming back looking pretty much exactly the same. Priced at 35,640 yen, the set lands on March 23rd, 2018 and comes with a whole lot. With a special case that has the series spread across four discs with the fifth disc of bonus material, there’s a 32-page booklet with it. The bonus disc has a lot of bonus interview pieces that were done for the original DVD releases.

Originally airing in 2005, the series was directed by Hiroshi Nagahama who also handled the series composition. Yoshihiko Umakoshi worked with the character designs and served as the chief animation director with Artland handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Yuto Nakano as Ginko, Yūji Ueda as Adashino-sensei, and Mika Doi as Narrator.

Plot Concept: The Mushi Master Ginko travels from place to place to research Mushi—strange natural spirits—and aid people suffering from the problems caused by the enigmatic entities.
