Warner Bros. is getting closer to launching their DC-branded digital service that doesn’t have a name yet and one of the marquee titles is definitely going to be the Titans series. We’ve gotten some good stuff with costumes and casting so far and we recently learned of the Doom Patrol being involved with the casting of some of the characters. The latest addition is that of Dwain Murphy taking on the role of Larry Trainor, aka Negative Man. The group is going to make their debut in the fifth episode of the series when it arrives.

The character is described as “A pilot in the Air Force, Larry Trainor crashed his plane and was exposed to a mysterious “negative” energy. Wrapped in bandages to protect those around him, Larry struggles with this new strange power.”

On the Doom Patrol side, Bruno Bichir is playing Niles Caulder, Jake Michaels as Robotman, and April Bowlby is playing Elasti-Girl.

Previously announced cast includes Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Teagan Croft as Raven, Anna Diop as Starfire, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly Dove, and Ryan Potter as Beast Boy.

The series will be done by Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros TV, which means there’s a very good chance it’ll connect with The CW shows to some degree as Berlanti’s projects have worked to keep that a part of things.

Plot Concept: Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven, and others.
