The fall 2017 anime series My Girlfriend is Shobitch is getting its Japanese distribution through Media Factory and they’ve set a standard schedule for it. With the fifth volume landing on April 25th, 2018, we now have the preliminary artwork for it that’ll get changed out but will likely be included in some way, which we’re good with. The ten-episode series is getting a five-volume release that began on December 22nd, 2017. The DVDs are priced at 6,600 yen each while the Blu-ray’s are priced at 7,600 yen.
The show is being directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama based on the series composition from Hideki Shirane. Sachiko Yasuda is handling the character designs with animation produced by Diomedea.
The Japanese cast includes Aoi Yuuki as Akiho Kousaka, Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Haruka Shinozaki, Rarisa Tako Takeda as Shizuku Ariyama, Natsumi Yamada as Rina Saijou, Yuki Yagi as Kanada Shinozaki, Juri Nagatsuma as Saori Igarashi, Miki Hase as Sayo Shizumori, Marin Mizutani as Misaki Aikawa, Arthur Lounsbery as Seiya Hoshikawa, Megumi Nakamura as Ichika Omori, Iori Nomizu as Aoi Koshimizu, Ayasa Itō as Huyumi Kōsaka, and Jun Miyamoto as Natsuo Shinozaki.
The opening theme song by Aoi Yuki with “Eternal Labyrinth” while the ending theme song “Ai no Himitsu” will be performed by several of the main voice actresses.
The manga has been serialized on the Niconico Seiga site since summer 2015 with it getting five print volumes so far.
Plot Concept: After Shinozaki Haruka confesses to the Class Rep, Kousaka Akiho, he comes to find that the perfect class representative might be a little bit harder to handle than he previously thought!
