With some live-action material put into play last year, we learned previously that the You don’t know Gunma yet web manga is now finishing up things for a spring 2018 anime TV series debut. Set for Gunma TV, GYAO, and Animax, the official site has updated to reveal an April 2nd for the first two services and April 7th for the latter. The series is directed by Mankyuu with Tomonori Kogawa handling the character designs. Asahi Production is handling the animation production. Aya Uchida is performing the ending theme song “So Happy” for the show.

The manga comes from Hiroto Ida and has eight volumes released so far.

Plot concept: The property focuses on Nori Kamitsuki, who moves from Chiba Prefecture to a fictionalized version of Gunma Prefecture northwest of Tokyo, and the story focuses on Gunma’s culture. Before moving to Gunma, Kamitsuki only sees that the prefecture has a fearsome reputation on the net. Upon moving, he soon makes contact with the people who hold a strong love of Gunma’s culture.
