What They Say
It’s three against one as Arashi faces off against Syringe on his home turf. It might be too late to save the high school, but they’ve got a slim hope of saving the city if Black Label can stop the rising tide of D99-infected zombies before it’s too late. With Mikoto’s life on the line, Arashi and Oriha head into battle…!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
Platinum Lily isn’t just an experimental drug with terrible side effects, but now it is mutating. The drug initially causes the users to lose themselves in ecstasy. But for a select few, it can enhance their physical capabilities, hence Arashi and the other girls from Black Label and the freaks from Syringe. For most users, the drug turns them into raged out zombies that can then pass the mutated drug onto others via bites. If that wasn’t difficult enough for Arashi and Black Label to fight, the drug has further mutated in some zombies making them alpha’s that the other zombies follow mindlessly.

This has put the city in an even worse position. It was bad enough when the police and Black Label were just outnumbered by zombies, but now those monsters have formed packs with smarter and stronger alpha leaders. While they have some hope of mass producing a cure for the regular zombies, there is absolutely no chance to cure the alpha zombies. This sends Black Label in to seek and destroy mode for the alphas. But can they successfully take out the alphas without killing the “regular” zombies and uninfected humans around them?

To make matters worse for Black Label, they are down one member. They had to subdue Mikoto and lock her away. She is the only member of the team that is a normal human. She was never exposed to the drug like the others. So, while the other members can be bitten by an infected and only suffer tissue damage, Mikoto would be turned into a zombie if she were bitten. I’m guessing it’s a good thing they drugged Mikoto and locked her away because she’s going to be enraged when she wakes up!

In Summary
Black Label finds themselves in a difficult scenario now that the Platinum Lily drug has mutated in some of the rage monster zombies. The further mutated individuals are smarter, stronger, and able to control the zombies around them. This both complicates the situation and makes it even more dangerous. A gang of zombies is one thing, but a gang with a strong and intelligent leader is a whole new level of danger. This seemingly fatalistic situation has triggered some mysterious plans in the background of Mochizuki Hospital. The Director is calling in a favor to a mysterious person, but what will that favor cost the Hospital and the members of Black Label? Will it even be enough to put an end to the Platinum Lily debacle threatening to swallow the city?
