The Pop Team Epic anime series has its home video release plans set with it getting a three-volume release for its twelve episode run. Catching up on some release artwork, the one for this series is definitely fun as the two formats are getting different editions. The show began its run on January 31st, 2018 where the DVDs and Blu-ray’s are both priced at 6,800 yen each.
The show was animated by Kamikaze Douga with King Records producing it. The original work is a webmanga that began in 2014 as a four-panel project. The first series ended in late 2015 and a second kicked off in early 2016.
Plot Concept: The story centers around two girls called Popuko and Pipimi and uses lots of news topics in a surreal way.
