Mascot Character ‘Gō-chan’ Getting Second Anime Feature Film

1 min read

TV Asahi has some fun with their mascot character of Gō-chan and now it’s making its move into a second feature film. Under the name Gō-chan. ~Moco and the Promise Made on the Ice~, it’ll bring the character with real-life figure skaters Nobunari Oda and Shizuka Arakawa as they take on elementary school roles which will help to expose more kids to the sport and hopefully draw more of them into it.

The cast will also include Ai Kayano as Moco, Tomokazu Sugita as Tamarin, Yuuki Kaji as Kin-chan, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kamo-chan, Koyatsu Time as Moffun, Chie Honma as Chibe-san, Tomokazu Seki as Takeda-sensei, and Yumi Kakazu as Katsunuma.

The film will be directed by Tetsuo Yasumi with Minetaro Hirai at Shinei Animation and Synergy SP. They’re working from a screenplay by Kimiko Ueno.
