With some live-action material put into play last year, the You don’t know Gunma yet web manga is now finishing up things for a spring 2018 anime TV series debut. The show is set for Gunma TV, Animax, and GYAO in April and will be revealing more soon. The series is directed by Mankyuu with Tomonori Kogawa handling the character designs. Asahi Production is handling the animation production. Aya Uchida is performing the ending theme song “So Happy” for the show.

The manga comes from Hiroto Ida and has eight volumes released so far.

Plot concept: The property focuses on Nori Kamitsuki, who moves from Chiba Prefecture to a fictionalized version of Gunma Prefecture northwest of Tokyo, and the story focuses on Gunma’s culture. Before moving to Gunma, Kamitsuki only sees that the prefecture has a fearsome reputation on the net. Upon moving, he soon makes contact with the people who hold a strong love of Gunma’s culture.
