Marvel Sets ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Adaptation

2 min read

Tying into when we expect the home video release to land, Marvel Comics has set a May 2nd, 2018 debut for the first two of six issues for Star Wars: The Last Jedi with its adaptation of it in comic form. The project comes from Gary Whitta as the writer, which is intriguing as he worked on both Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the Star Wars Rebels series while artist Michael Walsh (Star Wars Annual, Hawkeye, The Vision) will be handling the chores there.

With the Rogue One adaptation, we saw some interesting little additions to it, some to smooth over transitions and the like, and expect the same to happen here. Plus, we’re getting a sweet cover from Mike Del Mundo that you can see to the right and a great Rey variant cover from Joe Quesada that you can see below.

Plot Concept: The Resistance is outnumbered…Luke Skywalker has finally been found…and the Rebels fight against a growing evil. The First Order will stop at nothing to conquer the galaxy, and it’s up to our heroes to defend it!
