The latest rankings have come in from Japan with what’s selling on the manga and light novel charts and the manga side has a nice surprise. With the first week of the year going to be lighter in general we still have great numbers coming in for the seventh volume of The Promised Neverland in the top spot, which means keep an eye on this one for an adaptation sometime in the near future. A few titles on the chart are additional sales, such as Attack on Titan and Black Butler but we also get lots of other projects doing well and getting the year started off. The light novel side has Kagerou Daze doing well in its second week as it adds another 29,000 units. There’s a good mix of titles here but most are additional sales across the board and still nothing showing any big surge based on the past anime season.
