Finalized ‘Girlish Number’ Blu-ray Anime Packaging Revealed

2 min read

Sentai Filmworks is bringing out the Girlish Number anime series on Blu-ray only on March 6th, 2018 and they’ve now revealed the finalized packaging for it. The set will have the twelve-episode series in Japanese with English subtitles only priced at $59.98. It’ll come with the clean opening and closings and inside episode previews. Check out the finalized designs below!

Shota Ibata directed it based on Wataru Watari’s series composition. Sumie Kinoshita worked on the adaptation of QP:flappers character designs while Diomedea handles the animation production.

The opening song is “Bloom” while the ending song is “Ima wa Mijikashi Yume Miyo Otome,” both of which are being performed by the five female lead voice actresses under the name Girlish Number.

The Japanese cast includes Sayaka Senbongi as Chitose Karasuma, Kaede Hondo as Yae Kugayama, Yui Ishikawa as Koto Katakura, Kazuya Nakai as Kuzu-P, Yuuichirou Umehara as Gojou Karasuma, Eri Suzuki as Momoka Sono, Saori Oonishi as Kazuha Shibasaki, Takuya Eguchi as Towata AP and Kenyuu Horiuchi as Namba Shacho.

Watari’s other work My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU has gotten an anime adaptation and Qualidea Code came out last summer.

Plot Concept: Chitose Karasuma wants to make it big as a voice actor, but while she looks and sounds adorable, she’s also self-absorbed, inattentive, selfish, and lazy. However, since her manager is also her big brother, she’s still getting bit parts and dreaming of landing the big role that will make her famous. Unfortunately, karma bites Chitose in the worst way possible when her big chance finally arrives, because the producers who’ve hired her are even more clueless than she is! Now, she’s trapped in a nightmare production where nothing goes right, the ratings are in the toilet, and swimsuit photos and live stage shows take priority over making quality programming! Can Chitose and her fellow trapped actresses turn things around and save their careers? Or will they all go down with the sinking ship in GIRLISH NUMBER?
